Nice long run with Steve in Southern California

We are leaving Wilderness Lakes rv park in the morning, and will post some drone footage of the park in a few days. It is a nice enough park but we spent most of our time visiting with Steve, Jinxi and Aidan so don't have a lot of comments about the park other than we got lost several times walking the dog.

We are kind of sad to be leaving all of our kids and grand kids for the next year or so to travel the south and eastern part of America, but the last 3 months have been great and we won't be forgetting these experiences for quite a while and if we do we can always look back at the blog.

We are so impressed with all of our grand kids it is hard to put into words but the word "Proud" pretty much sums it up. We don't have a lot to give, but our last name is being done proud with the next two generations (even though some of them actually have a different last name or will soon) we are so very proud of each and every one.

The video with Steve and Jinxi is a little short as we got so busy visiting, I forgot to shoot much video. Steve and I went out for a run Saturday morning and Aidan and Jinxi caught a little bit of video of that with a regular camera as well as the drone so that will have to serve as most of the video along with some Vegan Treats that Brynn brought back from Europe last week. Brynn said that everyone would be excited about the treats, so we promised we would film their reaction and she was correct about these Vegan Treats being the hit of the party.

We received a text from our friends in Kingman Arizona that there is going to be a fish fry at their home tomorrow night but they need someone to bring some desert and that fit our "Can Do" list nicely so we are heading out a day early to make sure we get there in time.

Hopefully everyone enjoys the video and in the spirit of full disclosure, Steve does run 10 miles 4 or 5 times a week and Jinxi swims for a couple of hours in the Olympic size lap pool at the gym while he is running. They do this at 5:00am until 7:00am and they seem to love it. I think Shea even goes to the pool on a regular bases, so if you hear something in the video below that sounds like I think I am in better shape than anyone in that family you obviously heard wrong or I mis-spoke.

  1. Ah ha ha...that video was SO FUNNY and so fantastically put together! We absolutely loved it! Pearl did a great job too! Her lead-in was hilarious in setting up the hour-long run footage. ;) It was also really fun to see the behind-the-scenes footage and the vegan treats surprise. You are an awesome editor! We sure had a wonderful time visiting with you guys and appreciate you sharing your weekend with us. Have safe travels to Arizona and Texas and keep the awesome blogs and videos coming. We love you both so much and are very thankful for you! Love you!

It was so much fun hanging out with both of you and getting the chance to talk about so much. I am one proud son and I sure love you so much. Cannot wait to read your posts as the trip goes on, you two are living the dream.

  3. Laughter is healing. I must be much healthier after watching this video. You guys are funny. Did Aidan give you acting lessons? That was special to listen to you talk about the great time you had talking with Stevie BUT he was born when I was a senior in high school so your last good talk with him must have been when he was 5 years old. I still remember listening to you on a pay phone in the hospital calling your brother Steve and telling him about your new son! You were certainly one proud papa then too! Thanks for the wonderful video of Steve, Jinxi and Aidan.

  4. We had a fun time making the video, glad you enjoyed it. I did a math error in saying 40 or 50 years, maybe 20 years would be closer. I was thinking back to about when he and Jinxi were newlywed.

I even received several text from Lance's crew that they enjoyed it 👍

I have watched it several times and still laugh at myself every time. And your right I am one proud papa several times over!😍

  6. Hey Shea, we are glad to hear you liked the video. I know your pretty busy with school and all but next time we are in California we sure hope to get to hook up with you and catch up on what all you have been doing. It sounds like your studies are going well and we are awfully proud of you. Plus Grandma and I both are anxious to meet your girlfriend of all these years, we hear she is a wonderful young lady.

We love you and look forward to seeing you again and we will definitely keep the videos coming as long as everyone enjoys watching them occasionally.
