Leaving the Pacific Northwest

It has been a wonderful 3 months up here in Oregon, Washington and Canada. Lance, Lisa and the grandkids were so much fun although it was hard to keep up with them. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit and show us around your great part of the country. We had perfect weather with almost no wind, consistent 75 to 85 degree temps and only a hint of rain once or twice.

This video covers Thousand Trails campgrounds "Pacific City", "South Jetty" & "Bend/Sunriver". We only had a few days at each location but they may be the top one or two thousand trails parks we have visited. Mainly due to being so close to the ocean and privacy in each site at both Pacific City and South Jetty.

I am getting much more comfortable with flying the drone, but the trees are so high and thick that I lost sight of the drone almost immediately and it was hard getting it back to land in the campground so I  able to get much usable drone footage of the campsites.

As most of you know we have already posted the next video for the Elko Car Show, so this one is sort of out of order, but I wanted to get it posted anyway because of the great ocean locations and fun we had at these parks. It is going to be a big change from where we are headed for winter in South Texas. First we have to travel down to southern California then through Arizona and New Mexico before we get there.

We get to have lunch with our Gran-daughter "Brynn" tomorrow and that will finish up our I-80 leg of the trip from Elko Nevada to Sacramento California. It has been a really fun time visiting with friends and family and will post that video in a day or two.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and I hope you enjoy it half as much as I did making it.

  1. More great videos pop. So glad you got to check out the Saturday Market in Eugene, it is always pretty hopping and full of interesting characters :) Hope you like it there, we sure do.

I have said it before, and I am going to say it again, Pearl is pretty darn good at driving that rig you guys have.

We are looking forward to see you both in a few days. Love you lots.

  2. Man, I love those campsites with all the trees and an easy walk to the ocean! I know you two are having so much fun. I am amazed to see Pearl navigate that 42 foot motor home! Wow! Then you topped it off with that gorgeous sunset which is another of my favorite things. Have a wonderful drive across to Texas. We are looking forward to having you here.

  3. I am pretty darn lucky that Pearl not only has the skill to drive the RV, she enjoys it. Sure make my travel day awful easy 😎

We really enjoyed the Eugene market and they have a Hugh variety of healthy vegetables & fruits but the healthy stuff sure is expensive. I picked up some stuff but found out I probably couldn't afford it. One example was all the ears of corn were between 75 cents and a dollar so we bought it at the store 5 ears for $1.00 and it was very tasty but probably not as healthy with chemical fertilizer & weed killer.

Hard to believe we will be at Wilderness Lake with Steve & Jinxi in a couple of days and Snyder in just a few weeks.

Time is flying but we sure are enjoying all the different campgrounds and new friends

  4. Forgot to mention: stand by for some drone video from Aidan as I hear he is anxious to get at the controls. He might even churn out a movie for us to enjoy with his footage. 🤞🎥
